I can put links a YouTube diary, as I use your product to get ready for the rows.
Hopefully, I'll inspire more recreational rowers to join in. :)

I'm just a fifty year-old guy with an itch to do something just a little bit crazy HA!
I've sculled on the glassy waters of the delta for a decade and wondered if I could row from the Port of Stockton to the Golden Gate Bridge? In early 2021, I upgraded my Small Craft Lightning (by William Fisher, circa 1980) to a Maas24 and set a plan to get strong enough to take a shot at it in 2022. That didn't happen, so I set my sites on trying in 2023... then trying again in 2024... now I've shooting for 2025!
Others are welcome to join me. I suggest taking a look at the training schedule below to get familiar with the waters. I'm think it could become a fun event and could raise money for Make-A-Wish kids and the rowing clubs that choose to help support it .
In addition to being a sculler, I'm a compounding pharmacy owner in Stockton with my wife. I help run Boy Scout Troop 10, casually coach volleyball, play bogey golf and have doggedly pursued making my Red Top Sport Center project happen for a handful of years.
The regatta is planned to occur annually on Father's Day weekend, having some of the longest daylight days of the year.
I've calculated that a group of rowers could start at 3am in Stockton for the 150k distancc. A second group could join launching from Brannon Island at 8am to do a 100k, and third group could join launching from Vallejo at 1pm to do a 50k.
The regatta would cross the bay at East Brothers Lighthouse heading to the Marin Islands, then follow the coastline around to Tiburon. From there it will skirt Angel Islan, aim for Alcatraz, and finish at the SFMaritime Historical Park. A recovery BBQ and party will go until Sunset at ~8:30pm.
I haven't been rowing as much as I should, so I'm not sure if I'll be in shape for it. If not, I'll take a shot at it the next year.
Email me at you are curious about joining me on this adventure.
Ya gotta want it, not just want to want it, right?
A series of training rows are detailed to help rowers get used to the route, currents, distance, and pace required. The goal is to average 10km/hr or 3:00/500m. Rowing pattern is 18min @ 2:40/500m then 2min break. 3-Sets per hour.
These also provide an opportunity for chase crews to get familiar with the various put-in, take-out, and observation locations along the course.
